Become a Transport Volunteer

When a wild animal is injured or orphaned, every minute counts. One of the biggest challenges in wildlife rescue is getting animals the urgent care they need when the person who found them simply can’t make the drive. That’s where our dedicated transport team steps in. We always encourage finders to bring animals directly to us when possible, but when distance or timing gets in the way, our transport volunteers step in to bridge the gap.

How It Works

Local Transports

For pickups near our rescue, we coordinate trips quickly through a dedicated volunteer text group.

Statewide Transports

For longer trips across the state, we use a private Facebook group to map out driving legs and team up with other rescuers.

Joining is simple: all you need is a reliable vehicle, a willingness to help when you’re available, and a quick orientation to get you comfortable. Whether you can drive five miles or fifty, every ride gives a wild animal a second chance. Reach out to us to get more information or to join.
